About Rev. Christine Sandor, MSW, LICSW


 


Christine Sandor is a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW), minister, and published author. She specializes in trauma, grief, and crisis work, and has been a child psychotherapist since 1994. During her twenty-plus-year career, Christine has worked with individuals from age three to 93. Her primary focus has been children and teens that have experienced trauma in their young lives. She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses an integrative approach to all treatment. Christine has dedicated her entire career to assisting others who face trauma and grief challenges in their lives.

As an ordained minister, Christine’s focus of treatment includes the spiritual as well as the psychological aspects of healing. At the request of a client, Christine brings spirituality into the healing process. Holistic crisis work, trauma work, and grief counseling are all encompassing, meaning each aspect of the person—mind, body and spirit—are considered during the healing process.

Christine is the author of Warming the Stone Children (Publish America, 2006) and This is Not Goodbye: A Holistic Guide to Helping Grieving Children (Windy City Publishers, 2009). She is also a freelance writer for several websites and has published articles on various websites and magazines.

Christine received her Masters in Social Work from Simmons School of Social Work in Boston, MA. She currently resides in Salem, MA with her three children. She enjoys writing, reading and spending time with her kids.
